Hiding from me...

A common misconception is that hiding our emotions makes us stronger or not talking about a bad incident will help us forget it; when in reality neither are true, but then who is to hear this war cry of the battle within and I fear that most lose themselves in finding those non-judgmental ears…

As friends and loved ones it can get overwhelming to bear the cross of a close one and hear the same cry for help over and over again, but don’t shut those opportunities for them to heal with the classic “enough is enough” ; hoping that it will help them forget…

Have you every tried to pack more clothes in a bag than it can hold? The bag bloats up, its difficult to shut, weighs the world and if you carry it long enough the bag tear apart! One needs to empty their “chest” first before they can fill it up with something else, but we need to rearrange and drop off the excess baggage behind, only when we are comfortable and the opportunity arises…

These moments of outbursts are necessary for one to rearrange our pent up emotions and if in the process a loved one can somehow help you see a different perspective, you have got your drop zone to shed that excess baggage…

What helps in such matters is to change the view of your troubled ones on the topic they can’t seem to move on from or help them realise that they are in a better place for things could have been much worse; and trust me there are experts for that, the greatest help that we can provide is a non-judgmental ear to prevent the bag from tearing apart…

Help a loved one release and leave the realisation for them to do… If they get lost in their search you can always get them help from an expert who can be their guide…

As I end this note, I want each one of you to remember that the cross we bear for our loved ones is not heavier than the bag they carry; all they want is for someone to listen…
