Kabhi...

A strange feeling takes over as I find myself talking about all the crazy things that I have done in the past, only to realise that the incidents seem to move further and further away in time…

The memories so fond gain distance but still have a freshness in them and every time I visit those memories, it makes me savour the taste a little longer…

I wonder if age caught up or did I stop creating more moments, but I really don’t know when I stopped the clock but left time running…

Meeting friends at a designated time without any of the technology we have today was a case study of Six sigma proportions! Yet today with all the communication in the world, we exercise our options of informed ignorance…

Money was always enough for a single snack and our hearts were big enough to share it with 10; a sense of fulfillment that only the hunger hearts could understand… Yet today with all the money in the world, we find it difficult to spare more than our “2 cents” on charity; however never seem to mind spending a lot more on satisfying our own greed…

Sports was our social network that needed no WiFi and ran on Hi fives… Yet today we cannot find an excuse to escape work after work hours and have to plan a weekend corporate sports event to stay socially fit…

Little joys like a simple home cooked meal was enough to be the highlight of the day… Yet today with our parents showering the same love, we do not find the same joy and hardly find the time to spend with our ageing parents…

Spending time with loved ones was once a matter of just showing up and then fun times would be a matter of company… Yet today we question the need to do things instead of just enjoying company and that’s when the curious case of Benjamin Button casts its shadow on us; the process of becoming strangers is but a near reality…

I wonder at which point of time in our lives did we exchange our lives for the want of having one…

The “What If” questions got the better of us from the looks of it and the lie of a promise for “tomorrow” has left us in limbo today…

It’s almost like we are incapable of creating new memories while we play hide and seek with the Ghosts from our past and the Spirits of our future; unfortunately ignoring the body of life in the present…

Well I am a part of this race too and find myself pondering on the craziness left behind; I cant help but wonder if there still is a pulse felt when the heart so passionately reminds us of life…

Maybe someday we can live life, less as a stranger we have made it to be and hopefully more of the friend it is meant to be…
